2013 Cadillac SRX Crossover

Seating five very comfortably this SUV is perfect for trips with a family or group of friends.  This crossover to me screams adventure and road trip.  Everyone has space in both the front and back.  The backseat gets to enjoy power sliding seats, and two 8” mounted screens for music and dvds.  One of the features that I found very unique to this car has is the giant 4 foot sunroof that puts you right under the sky and in nature.  Would be great for a night you wanted to drive out, park and just look up at the stars.  There’s plenty of space in the trunk for storage.

Even as this SUV is all around comfortable, spacious and luxurious, there is the addition of actually being somewhat reasonable in gas mileage.  Getting on average 19 miles per gallon, and averaging 24 on the highway this vehicle is a very well balanced crossover.  You get that power and drive of an SUV and the fuel economy and quiet sounding ride of a sedan.  This SUV sports a smooth and strong 3.6 Liter V6 engine producing 308 horsepower and 265 pounds of torque.  There is an economy drive mode that increases fuel efficiency for every drive.

And lastly there are features on this ride that put this ride in the top of its class as far as safety is concerned.  The most unique safety feature that is a first for me before has to be the seat awareness system.  While driving the seat vibrates as a warning to the driver for a variety of things.  For example the seat vibrates when the car begins to drift unto another lane.  The moment the tire touches the line separating the lanes, the seat goes off vibrating and warning the user.  The same concept goes for when backing up and coming in contact with an object.   This technology is great for those long road trips where you can find yourself drifting asleep.

The new 2013 Cadillac  SRX Crossover defines efficient luxury travel.  It has everything you could possibly need.  At first glance you see a sleek and shiny exterior.  Within the first few seconds of getting in you can easily find yourself adjusting your seat to the most comfortable of positions and relaxing behind the steering wheel.  For those of you who are taller than the average person, you’ll actually find plenty of head space.  I’m 6”4 and this is always a problem for me with most vehicles.  Then there’s touch sensitive buttons for everything and anything you could possibly need spread across the steering wheel and center console.  In the center console there is an 8 inch touch screen monitor programmed with Cadillac CUE.  Navigating the CUE software is very simple and oddly resembles playing with your smartphone every day.  Of course you can connect with your phone via blue tooth, but just as well in the center arm rest you’ll find convenient auxiliary cable plugins, and usb ports.  There are two rows of leather seats that are very well detailed and uniquely Cadillac.  All seats are heat controlled and the driver gets to enjoy a heated steering wheel.
