2012 EX35 Journey RWD

The Ex35 is a Crossover that is more SUV than wagon.   A very sporty look that is not too aggressive.  A higher end crossover that offers around the town appearance with sporty feel.   The Moonlight white exterior shows the body lines well and really accents the chrome finishes.   Polished finishers on the dual exhaust with the optional 19 inch rims give a added sports feel.

The 3.5l V6 engine has 297 horsepower with 253 lb-ft torque turning the rear 19 inch split 5-spoke alloy wheels.  The 245 all season tires hold up well in summer sport driving and offer great traction in the rain.   The adaptive shift control (ASC) 7 speed automatic shifts when you want it too and has a very smooth feel when down shifting.   Independent front and Rear multi-link suspension matched with the front and rear stabilizer bars offer great response in cornering without much of a rigid ride.

Getting into the 8 way adjustable Chestnut Leather-appointed seats you will notice everything is ergonomically placed to be within reach. The driver seat was a bit uncomfortable at first until I found the 2-way adjustable lumbar support.  Leather wrapped shift knob and steering wheel is a good touch. Something I have not noticed on the other Infiniti’s was the second row power folding seats which made access and storage very convenient.  The 7 inch VGA color touch-screen display is clear and responsive.  I found the rearview camera was easy to see and use.   The Optional Bose 11 speaker premium Sound System with Cd/DVD and Music playback is always a great investment over the 6 speaker audio system.

On the highway I received 24 mpg considering the size and performance of the EX35 Journey I found that respectable.   At $46,395.00 as tested with a lot of options the Journey is a well priced luxury Crossover.  You can live without the AWD if you don’t live in a harsh climate, the RWD drive suited the EX35 well with no complaints.
